What Coaching Can Do For You

Be Better Together

What is parent coaching, anyway?

Coaching is about growing

Parent coaching isn’t therapy, but it is therapeutic. While therapy emphasizes healing, I help parents move forward with confidence. While uncovering your highest aspirations for yourself and for your family, we’ll use existing strengths and new strategies to help you grow into that preferred future. The process is illuminating and energizing.

It’s a focused process

A coaching engagement with me typically spans 8 sessions. Throughout these meetings, caregivers learn how to: find balance, carve out space to slow down and enjoy family dynamics, understand how and why to set boundaries, and tackle the paradox of self-care.

Informed by research

My process utilizes specific principles and research-based methods for managing many kinds of challenges, including screens and media influences. Reclaiming your parent identity will help you feel more confident and empowered.

Enriched by partnership

Parent coaching is a co-constructive process. Often the best action steps come from the client, as a result of our insightful conversations. You can expect questions that might surprise you or prompt new ideas and "a-ha" moments. My goal is to hear you say: “I'm feeling really good. I’ve got this!”

I love what I do! Let me be your best resource and sounding board.

Beneficial for individuals, couples and groups

The process of parent coaching individuals is often a powerful and transformational journey.  Couples can benefit from experiencing the mutual exploration and compassion that often pay big dividends.  And small groups of friends, or caregivers of similarly aged kids, take individualized steps toward their preferred futures with the added support and resources of other caregivers.

Imagine it

How would you feel if your family challenge improved?

“As a single mother, talking through my life and my children with a wise counselor provided invaluable perspective.”
